Held each August, the Hank Aaron State Trail 5k Run / Walk is a great way to enjoy the Trail. The course starts in the shadow of Miller Park, travels through the Menomonee Valley along the newly-opened Canal Street, and winds its way on the Trail along the river finishing again near Miller Park. The run/walk is always a wonderful family event with lots of information on the trail and local organizations, raffle prizes, beautiful scenery, and a great venue for teams.

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR RUNNERS, WALKERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND SPONSORS WHO MADE THE 2008 RUN/WALK SUCH A GREAT SUCCESS!
We had nearly 1,300 participants in this year's run/walk, including many team runners and walkers. The course started at Miller Park, wound along Canal Street, ran on the Trail alongside the Menomonee River, and finished again at Miller Park.
We were honored this year to have Mr. Hank Aaron, Gov. Jim Doyle and Mayor Tom Barrett in attendance to address our record crowd.
Master of ceremonies Ted Perry from Fox presided over the festivities which included live music from De La Buena, lots of great raffle prizes and silent auction items from our generous sponsors, informational booths from local organizations, and loads of individual and team prizes, all of which ensured everyone enjoyed the day.
Thank you again to all the runners, walkers, volunteers, and sponsors for supporting the Hank Aaron State Trail.
