Hank Aaron State Trail 5k Run / Walk

Held each August, the Hank Aaron State Trail 5k Run / Walk is a great way to enjoy the Trail. The course starts in the shadow of Miller Park, travels through the Menomonee Valley along Canal Street, and winds its way on the Trail along the river finishing again near Miller Park. The run/walk is always a wonderful family event with lots of information on the trail and local organizations, raffle prizes, beautiful scenery, and a great venue for teams.

Course

  • 5k / 3.1 miles (USATF Certified)
  • Professionally Chip Timed
  • Start Location is at Miller Park, Near Klement’s Sausage Haus
  • Free parking available at the Miller lot east of the stadium and the Kuehn + Gantner lots
  • Post-Race Refreshments and Snacks Available
  • Live Music by De La Buena

Prizes

  • Individual: Top Male & Female Runners, first three places in each age division
  • Team: Fastest 3 Teams, Most Participants, Most Team Spirit
  • Every 44th Finisher Wins a Prize!

Plus every participant is entered into the raffle with lots of great prizes for the whole family! Everyone also has the opportunity to bid on fabulous silent auction items. Last year’s auction items included a backpack with gear, snowshoes, two Airtran round trip tickets, rain barrels, and more.

Age Groups

  • 13 and under, 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+

Individual Entry Information

  • $20 if received on or before 8/2/2012
  • $25 if received 8/2/2012 - 8/10/2012
  • $30 on race day

Team Entry Information

  • Team participants at $20 each includes logoed shirt and additional recognition
  • Minimum 8 entrants per team

Please note race day entry and shirt availability not guaranteed. Due to course conditions, rollerblades and roller skates will not be allowed. Due to insurance regulations, headphones and dogs are not allowed. Wheelchair entries please first call Sports Management Associates at 262-781-8877.
