Stewardship "Stew Crews" are a great way for interested organizations, businesses, and neighborhood groups who care for their "own" section of trail. The help needed includes:
Each group is trained in safe techniques for accomplishing their Stew Crew duties, and coordinates its efforts with the Friends Volunteer Coordinator. Stew Crew participants receive recognition in the Friends Newsletter and by signs along the trail that recognize the efforts and faithful dedication of volunteers to their adopted trail segment.
MVP, the Friends of the Hank Aaron State Trail and the Department of Natural Resources thank Palermo's Pizza, P&H Mining Equipment, Proven Direct, The Sigma Group, Cargill and Story Hill Neighborhood Association for becoming inaugural members of the Stewardship "Stew Crew" program.
